Well...Look at what the WWF...err WWE has come to. A year ago, we were all thinking..."WWF bought WCW!! Now we'll see the dream matches that we've always wanted to!!!

So we watched...and they never happened...Then, The INVASION angle! ECW wrestlers on RAW and Smackdown!! There's NO WAY they can blow this angle...So we watched...And sure enough, they found a way...

Now...we see the brand extension! A chance for younger stars to show some of their talent!! A chance for the shows to compete and drive ratings up and what do we see shortly after it?

A HULK HOGAN TITLE RUN?!?

Okay, I'll admit it...At first I loved the idea...I was a old-school Hulkamanic and it was watching Hogan that made me the mega fan that I am today...

However, after thinking logically about it, Why did Vince give him the belt in the first place? I'll tell you why...A short-term solution. That's all Hogan's title run was...A short-term solution to the larger problem of keeping the fans interested...

The nostalgia factor of Hogan's popularity is great...Vince placed the belt on Hogan at that time, knowing that we fans are just dumb enough to want to believe Hogan should be the champ again...After a few weeks we all returned to our senses after seeing Hulkamania "limping wild" as my housemate might say...

Okay, Vince now sees that he needs the strap off Hogan, so what does he decide? Who should take over since Hogan can't give a great match anymore? Gotta be someone younger...with some championship experience...HHH? Jericho? Austin? NO!

Vince puts the belt on THE UNDERTAKER?!?

Okay...now maybe it's just me but I don't see the logic here...Why take the belt off a aging Hogan and place it on a just-as-aging yet a bit younger Taker? Taker has some talent left but can he really carry the ball at this stage of his career? His knees are shot and he can barely make it through a whole match...So who get's the title next? Pat Patterson? A resurgent George "The Animal" Steele? You know if you're going to put the belt on a aging vet instead of giving a guy like RVD or Edge a run with it at least put it on a guy like say Terry Funk...hell at least then you get a few high-flying moonsaults out of him...

Vince needs to get off this geriatric kick of his...He has a plethora of young studs who are MORE than derserving of a run with the belt...If he doesn't then the WWE fans may tell Vince to "Get the F Out!"
